As you might know, Digital Deepak is a superstar in the Indian Digital Marketing arena. High Traffic Summit, Hyderabad, is an event organised by Pixel Track (Deepak’s Digital Marketing Agency). The event took place on 23 June 2019.

I must say, I’m a great fan of Deepak Kanakaraju. I can buy almost everything that Deepak has to offer. I’ve purchased his books, his courses, and I’m even sold on his viewpoints about digital marketing. When I got an e-mail from Digital Deepak about the event, I didn’t even check the price and location. I immediately pulled out my debit card and booked my seat right away!

It was the first time I’ve ever attended any networking event. I travelled all the way from Mumbai to Hyderabad, and some people called me crazy for that. Yes, it cost me a lot, but I can tell you that the value I got from attending the event was 10x more than what I paid. It was totally worth it!

Venue and Arrangements

The event took place at Vivanta by Taj, Begumpet. As you might all be familiar, Taj is a 5-star property chain in India. The event started around 10:00 a.m and ended around 17:00 p.m.

You might have probably had this funny conversation with your friends about celebrating somewhere.

Friend: “Chal party de.”
You: “Jahan bol..”
Friend: “Chal Taj main party.”
You: “Haan chal, chai pilata hu wahan..”

Ignore if you haven’t had such a conversation ever. Anyhoo...

Tea and other snacks were available throughout the day. Lunch was also included with the tickets. Overall, everything was well managed, and the quality was top class.

Inside the hall, all the tables had notepads, pencils, water bottles, mouth fresheners, etc. Deepak shared about all the expenses in a previous article here.

Speaker Lineup

Unfortunately, Deepak himself couldn’t make it to the event. They said that he was diagnosed with dengue and had been advised to rest. All we got from Deepak was a short video clip which he recorded to make up for his absence.

To make up for his absence, Deepak was generous enough to give away a free copy of his latest book. He agreed that it was a cheap replacement, but I guess sometimes we have to accept things we can't control 🙂

I wish you had been there Deepak...

Even though we all missed him, the rest of the event had rockstar speakers lined up. Here’s the list of the speakers:

  1. Sanjay Shenoy - Content Marketing and SEO
  2. Gaurav Borah - How to build an Unshakable Supper Affiliate Business
  3. Anmol Garg - Closing the Deal
  4. Sahith Krishna - SaaS Marketing
  5. Sonali Dutta - How to Build a Personal Brand
  6. Rajat Jain - How to Setup and Scale a Digital Marketing Agency

Each speaker gave a complete breakdown of things that are working for them today: content creation and distribution, affiliate marketing, personal branding, scaling up your agency etc.

Though the sessions were great, what was much more insightful were the QnA sessions after every talk. It’s really cool to get your burning questions answered by the leading industry experts.

All in all, it was great to see all the online celebrities offline.

Networking

If you had asked me to pay 20x the amount of the event and just gave me the opportunity to network, I would’ve happily paid all the money without thinking once.

Now I’m not a networking ninja or a master at building relationships. Heck, networking used to be one of my biggest nightmares. And this was the first time I’ve ever attended any networking event.

Yet somehow, the vibes of the event were so energetic, it felt almost natural to go and build relationships with other people.

(A special thanks to Anmol Garg for maintaining the energy in the room)

I got really great insights by connecting with like-minded people. You get to know what problems they faced in the beginning when they got started. You get to know their struggles when they started growing. And you get to know what mistakes to avoid from people who are already the experts.

It is really motivating to see others work so hard and get results. And it will also give you confidence that you can achieve what they have achieved. If you’re someone looking for business opportunities or employment, networking at such events is a great place to build relationships.

My personal takeaways (you can ignore this)

  • Focus on just one thing. Say no to everything else (Sanjay Shenoy)
  • Learning digital marketing is a sequential process, not a parallel process (Sanjay Shenoy)
  • You should be the one who comes to their mind when they think about an industry (Sonali Dutta)
  • You don’t need to be an expert when you are just getting started (Sonali Dutta)

Summary

Overall, it was a great day of learning and connecting with like-minded people. If you’re a digital marketer, affiliate marketer, blogger, entrepreneur, agency owner, then I strongly recommend you to attend the next High Traffic Summit. I assure you that it’ll be worth every penny. The connection you build will be priceless. And who knows, you might even get an opportunity to do business with those top industry experts.
